A special memorial service to celebrate the life of Peter Jackson was held at the King's College Memorial Chapel on Friday 14 October 2022.

Peter Jackson (Parnell 1959-63)

Hailing from Te Akau, 37km west of Huntly, Peter was Head Boy, Captain of the First XV and Captain of the Rowing VIII during his time at King’s College. 

He was a member of the Oaks Fellowship and the President's Circle of the King's College Foundation. Peter was Chair of the King’s College Board of Governors from 1995 to 2005 alongside Headmasters John Taylor and Roy Kelley. During his tenure as Board Chair, the College embarked upon a major campus refurbishment programme which included the rebuilding of the catering kitchen and the establishment of the Rolf Porter Fitness Centre, among other projects.
