We acknowledge the dedicated and passionate community work of Andrew Coster (Major 1989 - 93) and congratulate him on his recent appointment to NZ Commissioner of Police. Andrew has occupied a variety of leadership roles in his 23 year career within the NZ Police force including Area Commander, Auckland City Central; District Commander, Southern Police District; and Deputy Commissioner of Police.  

Commissioner Coster has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Auckland and a Master of Public Management from Victoria University of Wellington. He has been a Solicitor in the Office of the Crown Solicitor in Auckland, and was seconded to the Ministry of Justice as Deputy Chief Executive in 2016.
